History

KinkRooms was created with a simple idea: to build an adult store that feels welcoming, trustworthy and completely judgement-free. We wanted to move away from the outdated image of adult shopping and create a modern space where people can explore pleasure, intimacy and their individual desires with confidence. What started as an idea has grown into an ever-expanding collection of carefully selected adult toys, fetish wear, bondage and BDSM products, with new and exciting products continually being added. As a growing UK business, we're passionate about building KinkRooms into a name our customers can trust offering great products, genuine customer service and complete discretion every step of the way.

Beginning

The KinkRooms story… well, we need to rewind all the way back to 2008.

I'd just come out of a business that was struggling as a result of the recession and, if I'm completely truthful, I didn't really have any direction as to what my next move was going to be or how I was going to create some additional income. After many late nights searching the internet, looking at different ideas and finding suppliers, I eventually came across the world of bondage and fetish products. That's when the idea hit me, what if I imported the products myself and sold them through an eBay store?

So that's exactly what we did.

The store started to grow and went from strength to strength. But, as is often the case, life had other plans. We'd just welcomed our baby son into the world — child number five between my now-wife and me, as we both already had two children from previous marriages so, yes, life was pretty busy! I eventually returned to full-time employment and the eBay store had to take more of a back seat. I kept it running on a part-time basis, but I always knew there was something more I wanted to do with it.

Fast forward to 2026.

I've finally done something I always said I needed to do.

And there's one part of the story I'll never forget.

When I first mentioned the idea back in 2008, I spent our last £456 on that very first order. In return, I had to make a promise: if this idea didn't work, I wouldn't try another business venture.

I agreed…

with a little smirk. 😉

Sixteen years, five children, a recession, full-time jobs and plenty of life's ups and downs later, that original idea never completely disappeared.

And now we're back.
